Hamurwa has acquired equipment to be used to generate solar power
14 February 2008

Hamurwa sub-county has acquired equipment worth Ush 3 million (US$ 1,765) which is to be used to generate solar power. This is a great boost to the LIIS initiative as this will help connectivity. They have also acquired one computer and a printer to assist the local government in processing the information collected from the village profiling process. The sub-county is seeking support from the donor community to help them to set up a computerized management information system by providing equipment and expertise. The sub-county is eager to get connected to the internet but cannot afford the charges at the moment.
