Capacity Development Practice Note

This is the Practice Note on Capacity Development. This practice note provides UNDP staff and other development practitioners with a basic understanding of the capacities to focus on in a development context, why such capacities are important, how capacity develops and how external partners can support efforts of countries to develop and utilise their capacities to support development goals. This practice note is kept concise, as it is complementary to the OECD/DAC Good Practice Paper on Capacity Development, which UNDP has been actively engaged in preparing. It is expected to provide a common reference for UNDP practitioners, domestic and external partners engaged in country-level collaboration on CD.
