Supporting Capacity Development: The UNDP Approach

This resource articulates a series of policy statements and services which UNDP emphasises in its support to capacity development efforts at global, regional and country levels. The statements of policy and the provision of these services are supported by research and analysis of capacity development theory, data sources, methodologies and applications across the various capacity development response strategies. They must be continuously validated through evaluative evidence and lessons learned through countrydriven efforts, and the support provided to them through UNDP, UN agency and international partner initiatives.
